My name is Irene. I’m married with grown up children, and for most of the year I live somewhere sunny. My passion is to paint. Born on a farm in the Lake District UK, I grew up surrounded by nature and beauty. Over the years I’ve moved around, living in places with views of mountains, of seas and islands, and always near or in wide open spaces.
My creative streak runs deep, I love to make things and work with my hands – as a child my Father taught me how to build dry stone walls.
I am happy discovering new stuff, experimenting, painting, collecting bits of inspiration, projecting, and roaming in countryside on foot or riding pillion. I love sunshine and freedom, with adventures on the way.
Encouraged by my Husband I have realized a lifelong dream to sell my paintings. In this site you will see work in progress, and discover the stories and inspiration which influence what I do. Completed items for sale are showcased in the gallery; commissions also undertaken.
